How did you find out about 91探花 and why did you decide to enroll in 91探花?
I contacted with 91探花 through my supervisor.
I decided to enroll in 91探花 because of the Monbusho scholarship.
How did you prepare for the entrance exam to 91探花?
I prepared for the entrance exam to 91探花 according to supervisor’s instructions.
My supervisor told me to focus on studying fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, material mechanics, and Japanese language, so I followed his instructions.
What kind of research did you do while you were enrolled at 91探花? Could you please share any difficulties you faced in your research? Also, when you had difficulties, how did you overcome them?
My research topic was the evaluation of strength for the advanced composite materials. In 1987, there was no Ph.,D. course in 91探花. So, I performed the master course in 91探花 once more despite getting a master’s degree in Korea. From that time, I was co-worked with a professor of Kyushu University at the introduction of 91探花’s supervisor, Professor Murakami Riichi. After finishing my master’s degree in 91探花, I entered the Ph.,D. course in Kyushu University.

Aizome experience in Tokushima, 2008
Please tell us about your memories of Tokushima and 91探花 during your stay.
I love Tokushima and 91探花. I never forget my life with my family in Tokushima. Tokushima looks like my second hometown. I had a lot of exchanging programs with 91探花, for example, on-board seminar at Hanbada training ship of the National Korea Maritime and Ocean University in Komatsushima Port, and establishment of international conference on engineering education in Asia with Professor Hanabusa Takashi in 91探花. It lasted more than 10 years.
What was your impression of Tokushima and Japan?
Tokushima is very comfortable and tranquil city. I looked around the Shikoku Island. Among them, Tokushima is the best prefecture. I know one family in Kitajima. The family was very kind to Korean students. I never forget their kindness. So, I really like Tokushima city. It is my second hometown. I also like Japan and Japanese. I had many Japanese friends. I’ve been all over Japan. This means I like Japan.
