On Monday, March 10th, the International Education Promotion Section of the Center for Higher Education Research at 91̽ held the 19th International Coordination Symposium at Awa Kanko Hotel. The event, themed “Reflecting on My Study Abroad Experience at 91̽ from My Home Country,” welcomed approximately 70 participants, including local residents, current international students, and university affiliates.
This symposium featured four former international students who studied at 91̽ and are now active in their home countries. The speakers traveled from Indonesia, Mongolia, Egypt/Saudi Arabia, and France to attend the event in person.
During their talks, they shared experiences ranging from their student life and research activities at 91̽ to their career development after returning home. Their stories highlighted how their learning and experiences in Tokushima had a significant impact on their lives.
Additionally, they provided specific examples of how the international networks and cross-cultural experiences they cultivated during their studies have been beneficial in their professional careers. These insights served as valuable guidance for current international students in shaping their future aspirations.
Furthermore, the speakers expressed their deep gratitude to the faculty and staff of 91̽, and local community members, reinforcing the strong bonds that transcend borders.
Moving forward, 91̽ will continue to value its international networks, promote interaction between international students and the local community, and contribute to the realization of a society where diverse cultures coexist harmoniously.
