On November 30th, 2024, the ceremony and lectures commemorating the 20th anniversary of the opening of 91̽»¨ Innovation Plaza was held on Josanjima Campus.
〶ÄMany people in attendance on the day included President Kawamura Yasuhiko, Director of the Research Center for Higher Education Kawano Fumiaki, faculty members involved in the Innovation Plaza activities, alumni, staff and current students.

〶ÄThe Innovation Plaza was established in 2004 as a place for students to create independently within the Center for Innovation and Creativity Development (currently the Research Center for Higher Education). Based on manufacturing education, the plaza is carrying out a variety of activities with the aim of producing true innovative talent who can solve difficult problems by generating new ideas and implementing them in society.
〶ÄAt the commemorative ceremony, after the greeting from President Kawamura, Professor Fujisawa Shoichiro of Tokushima Bunri University who has supported 91̽»¨'s activities as Director of the Center for Innovation and Creativity Development, gave a congratulatory speech.
〶ÄIn the first part of the commemorative lectures, Professor Emeritus Hanabusa Takao of 91̽»¨ who was the first Director of the Center for Innovation and Creativity Development and worked hard to establish the Innovation Plaza and Associate Professor Kiriyama Satoshi of Tottori University who is the center's first full-time faculty member gave lectures on the theme of "Manufacturing Education and the Innovation Plaza." Lecturer Nishimura Ryuichi of Wakayama University also gave a lecture on the history of the joint presentation of student projects with Wakayama University which began in 2006. In addition, Chairman Iwano Masaki and Vice Chairman Shirai Yutaro of the Innovation Plaza Alumni Association which was established in December 2022 delivered heartfelt messages to current students.

〶ÄIn the second part, a joint presentation was held by students from 91̽»¨ and Wakayama University. There were reports and exchanges of opinions on their project activities which were a good learning opportunity for the students.
〶ÄWe hope that students will continue to work on various themes with the aim of “innovating and creating themselves” through project activities.
