この度、徳岛大学础奥础サポートセンターが主催する英语论文セミナーに共催いたします。
本セミナーは、グローバル时代の社会?大学?公司，そして女性が求めるキャリア形成を支援するために、论文の読解や执笔を中心として、英语力のブラッシュアップを図るとともに、学生等の论文指导にも役立たせることを目的としています。
【要旨】
1. How to write an abstract and cover letter
（効果的なアブストラクトとカバーレターの书き方を学ぶ）
This seminar focuses on the art of communicating your science project to the scientific community. First off, the seminar introduces the structure of academic writing and the importance of a summary in academic writing. We will discuss different approaches to preparing an effective summary in a structured as well as unstructured form. This will include the common pitfalls seen from a reviewer’s perspective. Furthermore, we will introduce how to present your research to journals through the preparation of a cover letter. This will include the use of effective problem statements to highlight the importance of your research. This seminar covers not only first submission cover letters but also advanced responses to reviewers in later cover letters during the manuscript submission process. Through this participation you will increase your academic competencies to expose the high value of your conducted research.

2. How to avoid common errors in grammar (verbs, tenses, and word choice)

Communicating your message effectively to the scientific community is not just based on high level research but also presentation and language. This seminar focuses on how you can use the English language more appropriately to prepare the first draft of your manuscript as well as develop the final manuscript version for journal submission. We firstly focus on communicating research through reporting of previous research findings, which includes how to correctly paraphrase and cite research and then move towards the correct language use for most efficient communication. This includes reports on common errors in the use of verbs and tenses as well as the substitution of colloquial wordings with more common word choices and sentence build up used in the scientific community.
